FDNY firefighter’s daughter on father’s cancer battle after working at Ground Zero
Bridget Gormley recounts the lasting health effects the toxic smoke, dust and debris from the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks had on her father. Gormley’s father, an FDNY firefighter, worked at Ground Zero and passed away from bladder cancer in June 2017 after it spread to his lungs.
