Tomas Totland and Conrad Wallem score 4 minutes apart as St. Louis City beats the Whitecaps 3-1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Tomas Totland and Conrad Wallem scored four minutes apart in the first half and St. Louis City beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on Saturday night to extend its unbeaten streak to 13 games.

St. Louis (10-6-7) secured its first away win against Vancouver in club history to move into a third-place tie with LAFC and Dallas — six points back of the Whitecaps (13-5-4).

Former Whitecaps striker Simon Becher tied it 1-all in the 23rd minute after finding himself alone in the six-yard box with goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka. St. Louis doubled its lead near the end of the first half when Daniel Edelman found Totland, who tucked it past Takaoka in the 41st.

Emmanuel Sabbi opened the scoring for Vancouver in the third minute with his fifth goal of the season. Sabbi jumped on a misplaced pass by midfielder Daniel Edelman and curled a shot past the diving Roman Burki.

St. Louis: Plays at Portland on Wednesday.
