Democrat Annie Andrews projected to win Senate race in South Carolina, flipping deep-red seat formerly held by Lindsey Graham

Democrat, Annie Andrews Projected Winner, Senate, South Carolina.
ABC News

Democratic candidate Annie Andrews will win the election for Senate in South Carolina, ABC News projects, flipping the seat once held by the late Lindsey Graham and notching a major win for Democrats.

Lindsey Graham's sister, Darline Graham, who was appointed to his seat following his death, is projected to lose her bid for a full term.

It is a major coup for Democrats, as South Carolina has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1998 and Trump won the state by 18 percentage points in 2024.
